The mission of the Washington State University Foundation is to advance the teaching, research, and public service endeavors of Washington State University by generating private contributions to supplement the institution's state and federal revenues. The foundation is the conduit through which gifts and endowment income flow to provide immediate and long-term support for the University and all its programs.

As a Special Gift Officer for the WSU Foundation, Justin builds relationships with alumni and friends of WSU in the Puget Sound region and across the country, working with various constituencies to expand private support for University programs and initiatives. Justin is a native of western Washington and a graduate of WSU and is currently pursuing his masters degree at Seattle University in Non Profit Leadership. While Justin was a student at WSU he worked as a student Caller for the Call-A-Coug Program as well as a Marketing Intern for the Athletic department.

As the Director of Development for International Programs, Scott is responsible for leading fundraising for WSU’s internationally-focused programs, including Education Abroad, International Research and Development, Global Studies, the Office of International Students and Scholars, International Enrollment, and the Intensive American Language Center. Scott has over 16 years of experience working in philanthropy with nonprofit and for-profit organizations. His civic participation includes service on the boards of the Washington Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the GreaterGood Foundation, the CFO Selections Foundation, as well as membership on the Leadership Tomorrow Curriculum Committee and the Advisory Council of the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle.

Ellen has been in the development field for 17 years, the past 11 at Washington State University. In 1997 she and her family moved to Pullman, where she worked as Director of Development for the College of Pharmacy. After a move to California in 2002, she inaugurated the Foundation’s development program there, working with alumni and supporters throughout the state. In the beginning of 2008 she moved to Seattle, where she oversees the regional development program and the Foundation’s operations at WSU West. As a volunteer, she has recently become involved with Hospice. Ellen and her husband David have two daughters.

As Director of Development for the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, Carol is responsible for leading the campaign fundraising efforts for the founding college. Carol works closely with area alumni and friends, forcusing on leadership gifts to support the college's strategic priorities. Carol joined the College of Communication in July 2008 after an appointment with the WSU College of Liberal Arts as Associate Director of Development, as well as the WSU Foundation as Assistant Director of Corporate Relations - all based at Washington State University West. She has previously enjoyed a career in Pac-10 Athletics, as athletics marketing director at both Arizona Sate University and Oregon State University.

As Assistant Director of Regional Development, Victoria builds relationships with alumni and friends of WSU in the Puget Sound region and across the country, working with various constituencies to expand private support for University programs and initiatives. Prior to joining WSU, Victoria worked in the non-profit sector raising funds for health-related causes, including medical research and health care organizations. Victoria has experience in corporate and foundation relations, volunteer management, special events and major gifts, and marketing. Victoria was an active student at WSU, working closely with the admissions office and student affairs. She graduated with a BA in Communication.

As Director of Development for the Graduate School, Judith's primary responsibility is to identify, build and sustain relationships that will result in sources of private support for the mission and work of the Graduate School; its students, faculty and programs. She serves as the primary liason for WSU to the ARCS Fellows. Judith works out of the WSU Foundation office in Seattle. Judith came to WSU via the University of Washington, School of Public Health and Community Medicine and University of Michigan Health System. She has more than 30 years of experience as a businesswoman and is a Family Life Educator and professional speaker. She earned her degree in Family Life Education at Spring Arbor College in Michigan.

Jennifer engages philanthropists, alumni, industry, and stakeholders in the Puget Sound region and across the country as the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resources Sciences' primary major gifts officer based in Seattle. Prior to joining WSU, she spent an eight -year career in financial public relations in her hometown of New York, most recently as Vice President of Media & Public Relations for online brokerage firm TD Waterhouse (now known as TD Ameritrade). Jennifer is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she earned dual degrees in Public Relations and International Relations. In the Seattle area, she enthusiastically volunteers for Seattle Works and St. Joseph Parish.

Based in Seattle, Joyce’s role is to engage corporations and other organizations in WSU-wide priority initiatives, focusing on interdisciplinary programs including sustainability and clean tech. Many of the organizations Joyce works with have multiple points of contact and interest around the university. Corporate Relations helps to provide a broader framework for the partnerships. Prior to WSU, Joyce worked with global healthcare and directed the capital campaign and corporate relations program for University of Washington’s School of Pharmacy, and had previously led the Gifts-in-Kind organization for World Vision U.S. Following her MBA from UC Berkeley, Joyce worked for many years in global business, product marketing and plant operations management in Mexico.

Rebecca Zanatta serves as WSU Foundation's catalyst for building relationships with alumni and friends throughout the state and country. Rebecca spent six years with the Alpha Phi Foundation in Evanston, Illinois, where she most recently served as Executive Director. Her fundraising history includes annual, major and planned giving experience. She graduated from WSU, with a BA in Communication. She earned her MEd in Higher Education Administration from the University of Idaho, and a Certificate in Fund-Raising Management from the Indiana School of Philanthropy. As a student, Rebecca worked for the Call-a-Coug program and was a marketing intern for Cougar Athletics.
